Afternoon Passing Through Roses
|
Beyond the car window, blush and cream roses pass quickly through the warm afternoon light. Flowers closest to the viewer soften with motion, while those farther away remain more defined, creating a natural sense of depth. In the side mirror, traces of the road and the roses already passed appear in miniature, layering the present moment with what has just been left behind. Rather than focusing on the destination, the work turns attention toward the experience of moving itself, capturing how fleeting beauty can remain as a gentle afterimage in memory.
