Forest Passing at Dusk
|
Beyond the car window, a late-afternoon landscape of trees and open fields passes quickly by. Low sunlight filters through the branches, casting long bands of gold across the grass, while nearby scenery softens with the motion of travel. In the side mirror, the road and light left behind appear in miniature, layering the present view with a trace of what has already passed. Rather than focusing on the destination, the work turns attention to the act of moving itself, capturing the warmth, calm, and sense of memory found only in a landscape slipping away.
